Dierssen, Bill
Inspired by his father, Bill’s interest in photography started as a young boy. Growing up in Walnut Creek, California, there seemed to be a never-ending supply of landscapes, animals and seascapes that attracted his camera lens. Bill arrived on Lani, Hawaii in 1989 for what was supposed to be a short-term construction job. The jobs kept coming and before he knew it, he wasn’t about to go anywhere soon. Captivated by Lanai’s beautiful unspoiled beaches, the oceans ever changing colors and the way the long grass bends and swirls in the trade-wind breezes captured Bill’s curiosity, creativity, and love for nature; it also afford him to countless memories and images. Images he hopes others will appreciate and enjoy.
